If I could give zero stars I would. I phoned them to see if a lawyer could be a notoriety and how much it would cost. The lawyer told me that 'he cant assist' and hung up the phone. How rude and inconsiderate. Extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend going here. They will just ghost you.

Lawyer is ghosting me for over a month and so I called the firm directly. The receptionist kept directing me to his secretary who isn't answering either. I'm just trying to ask questions about how to proceed now that I am out $2000 from your law firm. Couldn't have directed me to another lawyer for consultation? And then I call back for a third time and she doesn't answer. I literally just have questions.

I reached out for help and they couldn’t assist me (understandable if they don’t specialize in the situation), but they came across quite unprofessional and rude. No greetings, no punctuation, no subject line, no sign off. Just a single line saying they can’t help. Regardless of whether not my situation applied to their services, I won’t consider them for any legal requirements in the future and steer anyone I know from them as well. Here’s a bit of advice for you Merchant Law. This is how it should have gone: Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately we are unable to assist you. Best of luck in your endeavours. Sincerely, Your name. Hopefully you learned something now.

My personal experience with Merchant Law was not good. When I first went to a lawyer, I was told there would be no cost unless the case went to court. Eventually, we got to a place where I was told (I am paraphrasing) "if I continue, the next step is court, and that will incur costs, if you stop now, it won't cost anything" I chose to give up since by this time we knew that the case would not go my way due to who the defendant is. I chose to stop at that point, and everything was fine for a while. One day, I got a bill from the head office, and when I called to ask why, they said it had to do with the lawyer and if he chose to rescind the bill, they would. I called the lawyer who said he had no control over the billing and I had to take it up with head office. At the time, I wasn't working, and my only income was Disability which didn't even supply enough money to buy food. I was threatened with it being sent to collections so it could hurt my credit, which was already bad but I was trying to fix it, so I couldn't have it sent to collections. After some back and forth, the bill was eventually cut in half and I had to make payments once a month out of what little money I had which also meant not feeding my kid very much. I finally paid it off, but I never should have had to pay it. I am writing this today because I got an email asking me to write a review. So I am, but this is only my experience and shouldn't make anyone change their mind. I just wanted it known how they treat poor disabled people looking for help on an a personal injury case that when it happened, I had literally been knocked unconscious from.

My experience with Merchant Law Group was very professional and courteous. They understood my situation quite well and helped me to resolve it. I recommend them to anyone needing excellent legal representation and I especially appreciate the hard work of Attorney Karolee and her team! Thank you.
