Our experience with McDougall Gauley LLP was deeply disappointing. In a recent farmland transaction involving my 72-year-old mother as the seller, the initial purchase agreement presented to us contained closing mechanics that, in our view, exposed my family to significant risk — including language entertaining the possibility of transferring away her land title before being paid at all, with my mother being left as an unsecured creditor to the buyer. Whether intentional or not, the structure of the agreement created substantial stress and uncertainty for our family and ultimately contributed to the collapse of what could have been a straightforward sale. We expected clearer, more balanced drafting in a transaction of this size and sensitivity. Of course, negotiating updates to contract language runs the legal fees higher for both the buyer and the vendor. Even if that is not the intention, it is the result. I would strongly encourage anyone entering into a significant property transaction with this firm to obtain independent legal review and carefully scrutinize the closing mechanics and allocation of risk in any proposed agreement. Furthermore, my polite e-mail asking about these issues in the contract was COMPLETELY IGNORED. So here we are. My mother still owns her farmland, and you're reading a 1-star Google review. It didn't have to be this way. 99% of lawyers give the other 1% a bad name.

Dealt with Brandon Hicks. Called him about an ongoing noise disturbance. During the consult he said, and I'm paraphrasing, women are always the defendant in noise complaints in the cases he's done. Then, I had to tell him I'm trans. I'll give you three guesses how things went after. LOL suck bomb. Looks presentable in a suit, thus one star

Thorough service and cognizant of costs. Excellent service provided by all the lawyers I have used, whether contract, family, or business issues. They all have demonstrated honestly, thoroughness, integrity, concern for my budget and professionalism. For myself who's used a number of law firms over my life, I consider them to be exception ! Their large number of lawyers allow them to draw on deep pool of expertise. Ms. Hart, whose services I recently used in family law, is simply exceptional! I strongly recommend her services for one needing help in family law. Ms. Hart was informative, honest, dedicated and professional in my case.
