  This firm cannot be trusted to bill fairly or provide competent legal counsel. Poor service, unclear and excessive billing, and undisclosed conflicts raise serious concerns. Avoid this firm, especially if you are planning to acquire a franchise.

  Joseph Adler, has been my lawyer for over 10 years now and I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of business related matters. He has always given me sound advice and I hold his opinion in very high regard. Very professional team behind him and easy to work with. He has made my life less stressful as a result and you can’t put a price on that!

  Our experience with Hoffer Adler has been outstanding. Joseph Adler was referred to us and was incredibly professional.   I met Joseph Adler many years ago at a Canadian Franchise Association Conference. We since crossed paths many times at CFA events, and I attended workshops and talks he held. I've chatted with franchise industry professionals and other Hoffer Adler LLP clients, all of whom view Joseph with esteem and respect. Additionally, I engaged Hoffer Adler LLP to ensure my franchise agreements were up to date and accurate; I also worked with different associates on files relating to my franchise partners. My experience with the firm was consistently professional, and highly responsive. Advice was always very fair and measured, with a focus on minimizing risk and providing the best possible outcome for me. Overall, I've had many opportunities to witness Joseph's strong ethics, expertise in franchise law, and commitment to providing excellent service to his clients. I know lawyers are often the punchline, but this firm is no joke. They are trustworthy.

  Whilst we own a UK-based company, we have operated under a Licence/Franchise Agreement with the global company headquartered in Toronto since 2007. We engaged Hoffer Adler for the first time in 2013 to review and negotiate the renewal terms of our franchise agreement. More recently, we have worked closely with Hoffer Adler throughout most of 2020, as our franchise agreement was terminated. It was a stressful time further impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, we were confident in following Hoffer Adler's legal advice, which has always been timely and invaluable. In addition, what stands them apart is their excellent communication and high professionalism. Their team have always been prompt to reply and were exceptional at keeping us updated. Most importantly, their knowledge of the Franchise law, together with the commercial expertise were instrumental in achieving the desired outcome for our company.
