  I absolutely do not recommend them. Communication is entirely scripted, including their responses to questions. Even then, the communication is handled through assistants and constantly changing representatives. They do only the bare legal minimum and nothing beyond that. They disclosed a conflict of interest at the very last legally permissible moment. After the transaction was completed, they stopped providing any meaningful answers. If an additional check would be advisable but is not legally required, they will not perform it or even mention it. Their fees are also significantly higher than those of other firms. If they only do the absolute minimum, what is the point of hiring them? UPD: It appears they may have manipulated the reviews, as their rating was significantly lower just a year ago.

  The firm offers a competitive rate. While they have many offices around GTA, they offer remote/mobile signing service over Zoom, so it's really convenient. We were overseas before the closing date and were still able to sign over zoom call. Email communication is okay with occasionally slow responses. Some email instructions were generic so we had to clarify which ones were applicable to our property. It would be great to have a more tailored instruction. Overall, the team is professional and really helped us with the complex paperwork.

  Mark is knowledgeable and responsive. Other lawyers, not so much. They have a good price but, in my experience support was limited. As the first time buying in Canada I expected more information and more communication during the process. If you are experienced and know what to expect from the buying/selling process they are a good option. If you need or want more guidance and more information, probably not the best option. In the end my transaction was completed successfully. It was just more stressful than needed.

  Competitive rates and decent service. The lawyers during signing are great and efficient but you only have 1-2 meetings with them. You are typically in contact with the law clerks. Communication is okay, you often have to initiate contact first to get advice on your purchase. Sometimes it takes a long time for an email response and calling them usually ends in voicemail. Not much actual guidance which would be nice as a first time home buyer but they do send resources for you to look at. Seems like it's a you get what you pay for situation. Will see how closing goes and may update my review after.
