I immigrated to Vancouver Island with my family last fall from the states, and we purchased a home here. Real Estate transactions for non-residents can be complicated. I had a job offer as an RN with the island health authority, and a work permit, but we were not yet permanent residents. Sofia Sherrin at Sitka Law Group was so helpful in navigating an unfamiliar set of laws. She also acted as our conveyancer (similar to the actions of a title company). Our home purchase went without a hitch, thanks to her research and counsel. I shared her information with several other healthcare workers who have or will be immigrating here, and they have relayed their positive feedback to me. I highly recommend Sitka Law Group, and Sofia Sherrin in particular, for anyone who is in need of real estate advice - especially foreign buyers!

I was happy with the real estate services provided here. I would say that I had to answer way too many questions that should have been sent to a mortgage broker or real estate agent so I ended up playing middleman. Otherwise the transactions went off without a hitch, the paperwork was well laid out and all the numbers were broken down so any layperson could understand. It's not my first time with real estate sales so I will say that their speedy response time with emails is certainly a bonus given my demanding/worrying self.
