  I cannot recommend Michael Johnston highly enough. From the very beginning, Michael was knowledgeable, professional, and strategic in handling my case. He took the time to explain the legal process, kept me informed as important developments occurred, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes with the Crown and opposing counsel to achieve the best possible outcome. What impressed me most was his ability to resolve matters quickly and effectively. Through his advocacy, my condition was successfully varied, and shortly thereafter the criminal charge against me was withdrawn. Michael also demonstrated a great deal of fairness and integrity. He was transparent about fees, treated me with respect throughout the process, and even adjusted his billing in recognition that his work on one issue had resolved another. That level of professionalism and fairness is something I truly appreciated. Facing criminal charges is one of the most stressful experiences a person can go through, and having a lawyer who is experienced, responsive, and genuinely committed to achieving the right result made all the difference.   I cannot express enough gratitude to Mr. Johnston for the way he handled my serious criminal case — a time in my life when everything felt lost and I was mentally at my lowest. Thanks to his exceptional expertise and dedication, I was found not guilty in a jury trial and given my life back with a clean record. During the trial, even the judge referred to him as a “jury expert,” which later made perfect sense when I learned he had written a book on jury trials. His professionalism, deep knowledge of the law, and incredibly powerful closing arguments truly set him apart.   Micheal Johnston from start to finish was very helpful to me and family during a stressful time.
