Very impressed with stonegate. Had tenants that were creating a lot of problems and choosing to be incredibly difficult. I thought I could handle it directly but when the tenants hired a paralegal I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. I was referred to stonegate and hired them. Honestly, I should have hired them from the beginning since they were so familiar with the process and making sure it was done right. It ended up taking 6 months to get the tenants to leave, including insane financial demands from the tenants and eventually going to the LTB. I worked with Berkan directly who co frequently looped in Bita to make sure she was informed. Berkan was always quick to respond and was available to discuss issues and tactics as they arose. With the case extending for as long as it did, I’m so appreciative of their flat fee structure. It’s a gamble for both sides but it took a lot of pressure off me when making decisions or deciding how long to negotiate. At the LTB, Berkan was very professional and ran circles around the tenant’s representative, getting some of their evidence tossed out and having the tenants agree in court to our desired timeline. Unfortunately the LTB is completely broken so it was nice to have someone who could navigate it for us, and help us obtain a favorable outcome.
