  After reading other reviews, we realized we were not the only family who experienced serious concerns regarding billing and money with Thomas Singleton and his firm. That was extremely upsetting to discover after what our family went through. We paid substantial legal fees in advance for two possible trials that never ended up happening. We were later told an invoice would be provided and that remaining unused funds would be addressed, however we never received the invoice or any reimbursement despite multiple follow-ups. Calls regarding the matter eventually stopped being returned altogether. Our family was left feeling financially taken advantage of during one of the most stressful and painful periods of our lives. We trusted this firm to not only represent our family member properly, but also to deal with us honestly and transparently regarding legal fees. Based on our experience, we strongly encourage others to do extensive research before hiring this firm. We personally would not recommend Thomas Singleton or his associates.

  Our family had a very disappointing experience with Thomas Singleton in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While communication was generally maintained throughout the legal process, we ultimately felt that our case was not handled with the level of effort, preparation, and advocacy we expected considering the very large legal fees we paid in advance. We prepaid substantial amounts for the possibility of two trials, yet neither trial ultimately proceeded. We were informed that if the trials did not happen, any remaining unused funds would be returned. Because the matter resolved without those trials taking place, the actual time spent on the case appeared to be significantly less than what had originally been anticipated and prepaid for. When we later inquired about the return of unused funds, we were told an invoice would be prepared and sent to us outlining the legal fees and accounting. Unfortunately, despite repeated follow-ups, that invoice was never provided. Afterward, our calls regarding the matter were no longer returned, and we never received either the invoice or any reimbursement of the remaining funds. Most importantly, we were left with the strong feeling that our family member’s case could have been handled more thoroughly and aggressively. This was an extremely serious matter with life-changing consequences for our family, and in the end we felt deeply let down by both the overall representation and the lack of transparency surrounding the financial side of the case. Hiring a lawyer requires an enormous amount of trust, especially during one of the most difficult times in a family’s life. Sadly, our experience left us feeling financially burdened, disappointed, and without the level of support or accountability we believed we were paying for. Based on our personal experience, we would not recommend this lawyer to others.

  I had a very good experience with Abby Metcalf. She was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Communication was smooth, and I felt supported throughout the entire process. Thanks to her help, things went much better than I expected. I would definitely recommend Abby Metcalf to anyone looking for a reliable lawyer.

  I was very disappointed with my experience at Singleton Associate Law Firm. The legal representation I received did not meet my expectations. The lawyer handling my case was unable to properly guide me or provide clear and reliable legal advice, which left me feeling uncertain and unsupported throughout the process. Given the lack of direction and confidence in the service, I ultimately decided to switch to another law firm. In addition to the concerns about the quality of service, I found the fees to be very expensive considering the work that was done on my case. I also made multiple attempts to contact Sheena and Mr. Singleton to discuss my concerns, but unfortunately, I have not received any response to this day. Overall, my experience was frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would not recommend this law firm.

  I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. From the moment Abby took my case, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. Going through a legal situation can be incredibly stressful, but their team showed real compassion and patience every step of the way. Abby took the time to explain everything clearly, kept me informed throughout the process, and fought hard for the best possible outcome. What stood out most to me was how much she truly cared. I never felt like just another case file. Because of their dedication, professionalism, and expertise, we achieved a successful result that I’m incredibly grateful for. If you’re looking for a lawyer who is not only highly skilled but also treats you with humanity and respect, I would absolutely recommend Abby Metcalf 1000%!!
