The partner of this firm (Schaefer) lost a court hearing against me in 2023 with his client who is also a family law lawyer (Susan Rawlings). He refused to negotiate or discuss his client's position. Greatest day ever for me - I feel he was very unprepared for court. I tried to be conciliatory but he seemed to me to be devastated afterwards. Also - his out of office message at the time was to "Stay Fit" - clearly not directed towards me, but his client was most definitely not, so prospective clients take that as you may!

I had an excellent experience working with Kinnar Power. He was informed, prepared, strategic, and compassionate throughout a very difficult process. His communication was excellent. He was responsive and thoughtful. He explained things clearly, made sure I had the information I needed when important questions came up, and approached my case with confidence and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Kinnar to anyone looking for a lawyer who is professional, effective, and strong in court.

I am very impressed with Graeme. I called for a free consult regarding a complicated jurisdictional concern. He not only took the time to explain to me the strengths or lack thereof for what I am seeking but he explained that I was best to hire a lawyer in my current province. He did not waste my money with a retainer (like other legal counsel had previously done). He was very honest and helpful and it was refreshing to deal with someone who truly cared about sending me in the right direction! Thank you!!

Sean! You and your team did it! Seven years and 4 lawyers later and you sir were by far the best. I cannot thank you enough for helping me put this matter behind me. Truth of the matter is this: if you are looking for a lawyer you are already in a situation that is unpleasant at best. I suggest choosing a lawyer who will be honest with you, who will listen to your concerns and priorities and then advocate for you in a way that will best attain your goals. Sean has an almost uncanny way of parsing through all the information and disinformation to get to the best solution for you, his client and then working towards it in the most appropriate way. On top of it all, he and his staff are truly nice people. Thank you (again) for everything Sean and company. Enjoy your family and your well deserved reprieve!

My divorce was extremely challenging and involved unique and complex circumstances, and throughout the entire process Mark was consistently professional, honest, and deeply supportive. Mark has an exceptional ability to balance legal strategy with humanity. When actions by the other party or their legal counsel were questionable, he was transparent and clear, while also offering steady encouragement and thoughtful insight to keep our process on course. He approached every step with care, clarity, and preparedness, always ensuring that we were ready for every possible scenario. During Covid, Mark went above and beyond to create a sense of safety and stability, regardless of whether meetings or court appearances were remote or in person. He understood the added challenges of that time and ensured that my wellbeing and safety were always central to his approach. I always felt heard, protected, and respected. Even after everything was finalized, when the other party attempted to re-engage, Mark was available and provided excellent, grounded advice that helped me navigate the situation with confidence. Mark’s professional experience clearly extends beyond the courtroom. He is approachable, no-nonsense, factual, balanced, curious, and determined, while remaining consistently kind and understanding. Quite simply, I would have been completely lost without him. I also want to acknowledge Sue Kelly, his legal assistant, who was outstanding. Sue is extremely efficient, clear, professional, and kind.
